As a visual artist I am concerned with an exploration of ‘non iconic’ imagery. Through my practice I aim to dissolve and manipulate the interpretation of chosen source imagery through a process of abstraction. In connection with images in a world of endless reproduction, the work is based on the notion that ‘true’ originality does not exist; everything is a copy or a repetition of something that has already been reproduced.
