This body of work examines how we can be identified as either being ‘ideal’ or, in opposition, ‘grotesque’. The identities of the people in my work have been defaced and instead take on a look of ‘undesired oddness’. Social stigma and its consequences have directed me to challenge our perceptions of identity in my work.
