My paintings draw on the overwhelming anxieties I experienced after a violent encounter in 2012.  My intention is to bare to the viewer a genuine representation of the physical damage endured from the attacks. Two approaches have a ‘cause and effect’ relationship, as the portraits exhibit the physical outcome of violence and the larger paintings convey the torturing thoughts that echo long after.
