As my mother is Iranian and my father Irish, my art addresses the two different traditions to which I was born into. Some elements of my work remain ambiguous in terms of the original cultural and historical contexts. My paintings are made using fragmented shapes taken from the construction of buildings; also utilising architectural plans, my own photographs and references to map work.
